Relational databases are where correctness lives. I design normalized schemas, then denormalize deliberately; I tune queries with EXPLAIN ANALYZE, not superstition.
On the ops side I manage RDS/Aurora — parameter groups, read replicas, backup retention and failover drills that are actually drilled.
